System planning and yield forecast

Despite generally high standards for planning PV systems, planning errors or flawed approaches during the system design are common, and PV systems do not always comply with a best practice standard. Moreover, bid documents and purchase agreements are often inaccurate with regard to the expected performance. Planning documents and agreements often do not contain explicit performance ratios or existing standards which must be addressed. The customer receives a technical system, but not the desired use.

Most common mistakes:

  • Ignoring direct or indirect shading
  • Selection of wrong location
  • Incorrect inverter sizing
  • Incorrect sizing of the DC and AC cables
  • Insufficient rear module ventilation
  • Mistakes during construction
